If you have, the answer is: An advertising executive! Advertising executives are people who create and execute advertising campaigns. In addition to this, they are also in charge of all aspects of advertising including marketing and research.
An advertising executive should supervise all the components of a marketing campaign right from the ideation and promotion to account management and client maintenance. An advertising executive has good organizational skills, leadership, communication, and time management.
Here are some of the day-to-day activities of an advertising executive:
1.Meeting clients to discuss and identify their advertising needs.
2.Devising innovative advertising campaigns to meet the client's brief and budget.
3.Strategize with the creative, art & content department to make innovative creative designs, slogans & tag lines.
4.Creating first draft of the creatives to be presented to the client.
5.Presenting the campaign ideas with the creatives, taglines to the client.
6.Once approved, they work closely with the media buying, production, and creative teams to produce the ads whether it is for TV, newspaper, radio or online.
7.Monitoring the success of campaigns and reporting to clients.
How can one become a qualified Advertising Executive in India?
One can pursue their career in advertising as an advertising executive after completing their bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing or related fields. In India, one can join the 3 or 4 year UG programme with a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 12th standard. After completing UG, one can opt for postgraduate and diploma courses.
After graduation, internships play a pivotal role in gaining some practical knowledge and skill-sets. Followed by this, one can opt for a traineeship. Normally, the traineeship lasts for around 3 months. After this, one can start his/her career as an advertising executive in an advertising agency.

David Ogilvy was the founder of the advertising agency, Ogilvy & Mather. He is known as the ‘Father of Advertising’ for his innovative work in advertising. He was born on 23rd June 1911, in England. Ogilvy was most famous for building and establishing brands like Rolls-Royce and Shell.
He wrote a book called ‘Confessions of an Advertising Man’, one of the most important and famous books on advertising. He passed away on 21st July 1999 in France.
