They do so in a cost effective and practical way. Despite the application of Science and Mathematics, Engineers deftly apply creativity in the work they do.
Engineering actually means 'making things work'. In other words, engineering is the practical combination of Science and Mathematics to resolve real-life problems. Engineering is a vast field and it's not only about creating bridges and vehicles. Engineering is recognized as a subject that unlocks opportunities and builds technology and products that improve our living standards.
Engineers have plenty of career opportunities. Since engineering isn’t just a single course concentrated on a particular industry. There are plenty of specializations one can pursue depending on where your interests are.
There are many different fields of Engineering. Let's take a glance at some of the more prominent ones:
Chemical Engineering: Chemical Engineering is a multi-disciplinary branch of engineering that combine natural and experimental science along with life science. Chemical Engineers design, develop and manage the industrial processes that turn raw materials into valuable products. They do so by applying concepts of Economics and Mathematics as well. Chemical engineers work in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, petrochemicals and several other sectors.
Civil Engineering: Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. This includes works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, swage systems, pipelines and railways, amongst several others.
Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.
Software Engineering: Software engineering is the study of design, development and maintenance of computer software for business and personal use.
Electrical Engineering: Electrical engineering is one of the newer branches of engineering, which dates back to the late 19th century. It is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity. Electrical engineers work on a wide range of components, devices and systems, from tiny microchips to huge power station generators. Electrical engineers design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems and power generation equipment.

There are two ways one can puruse an engineering course in India:
Diploma in Engineering
Diploma in Engineering is a 3 years course which can be pursued even after the completion of 10th standard from a recognized board.
B.E or B.Tech
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a course that lasts for a duration of 4 years. This program can be pursued after the completion of 12th standard. After graduation with a B.E or B.Tech degree, students can also pursue a post-graduation in Master of Technology (M.Tech) or Master of Engineering (ME) or Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc. Eng)

He attended the Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario for his undergraduate education and earned a dual degree in Physics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
His futuristic and utopian visions have won him both scientific and philanthropic recognition and awards.
