Decimals – Addition , Subtraction

 

To add or subtract decimals, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Write down the numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.
  • Put in zeros so the numbers have the same length (same number of digits).
  • Then add or subtract using column addition or column subtraction.
  • Remember to put the decimal point in the same place of the answer.
